Referrals
Conviction's referral is a one-level relationship that activates the moment someone signs up with your link. The relationship is permanent, and it pays both sides: the invited trader pays less, and the inviter earns a share of the fees the invitee generates.
#How it works
- Your profile carries a permanent referral code — grab your link from the Share button on your profile or the leaderboard. The code never changes, even if you rename your username (links shared with your old username keep working too).
- When someone signs up through your link, you become their referrer and they become your referee. An account has exactly one referrer, set at sign-up and never changed; there is no limit on referees.
#What the referee gets
A permanent 10% discount on taker fees, on top of any fee tier they earn. Discounts stack up to 40% in total.
#What the referrer gets
- Fee share — 10% of the net taker fees each of your referees actually pays, accrued per trade for as long as the program runs.
- Activation bounty — a one-time $5 when a referee becomes active: at least $6 of fees paid on resolved markets and an account at least 14 days old. Bounties draw from a monthly program budget; past the budget they queue for the next month rather than expire.
- Your own account must have paid at least $5 in fees before your code starts earning — sharing a code without using the platform earns nothing.
Rewards accrue from your referees' trades right away and become eligible once the underlying markets resolve. Payouts have not opened yet — when they do, eligible balances will be paid in USDT in periodic batches (minimum $1 per payout; smaller balances roll forward). Your accrued balance is always visible in the share dialog on your profile.
#What never counts
- Trades where you and your referee are on the two sides of the same fill (or two of your referees are) — self-dealing earns nothing.
- Trades on external mirrored markets (fees go to the external venue).
- Maker fills — makers pay no fee, so there is nothing to share.
#Reward points
The sign-up / first-trade point bonuses in the Rewards doc branch on referral status. If someone signs up with your code later, the bonus you previously missed is granted retroactively, one time.
#Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I add or change my referrer after signing up? No. Once set, the referrer relationship doesn't change.
Q. Can I refer myself? Multi-account self-referral is unprofitable by design (the activation requirements cost more than the rewards pay) and detected abuse leads to forfeiture and clawback of rewards.
Q. Can the rates change? Rates, thresholds, and budgets may be adjusted prospectively. Rewards already accrued under the rules in force at the time are not reduced retroactively, except in abuse cases.
