Connect a wallet

On Conviction, a single address holds your assets and executes your trades. When you sign in, this wallet is prepared automatically, so there's nothing to install or create.

#Sign-in methods

  • Email sign-in — Just enter the one-time code sent to your email. No password, no seed phrase.
  • Social sign-in — Social accounts such as Google, X (Twitter), and Discord.
  • External wallet — MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, and more. Mobile wallets can connect too.

Regardless of how you sign in, the wallet used for trading is a single-address wallet created for you automatically by Dynamic WaaS (Wallet-as-a-Service). The keys are kept in a secure environment, are never exposed to the browser, and cannot be used by anyone (including operators) without your own sign-in. Even if you connect with an external wallet (MetaMask, etc.), that wallet is used only for sign-in (identity verification) — your actual assets are held and traded in this newly created wallet.

You can receive deposits even before your first trade

Your address is valid the moment you sign in, so it can receive funds. The setup needed to actually trade (approval) is handled automatically at the time of your first trade.

#Creating an account

The first time you sign in, a short sign-up step appears.

  1. Username — 3–20 characters, lowercase letters, digits, and underscores. Availability is shown live as you type.
  2. Referral code (optional) — If a friend gave you an invite code, enter it here.
  3. Check the terms-of-service and cookie consent boxes, then Create account.

Referrals are later reflected in your fee discounts and rewards.

#Key backup and recovery

Your trading wallet is securely managed by Dynamic WaaS, and the keys can only be used with your own sign-in. Signing back in with the same method recovers the same trading wallet.

Sign-in methodHow to recover
Email / socialSign back in with the same account to recover the same trading wallet.
External walletReconnect the same external wallet to recover the same trading wallet. (The external wallet is a sign-in method, so keep its seed phrase safe yourself.)
  • To use multiple devices, sign in with the same method and the same wallet appears as-is.
  • It's safe to share your address. An address is just public information, and no one can move your assets without your signature.
