The points program is temporarily paused

Points are not currently being accrued. The rules below describe how the program works once it opens — the season schedule will be announced separately.

Points on Conviction accumulate in monthly epochs, with each epoch starting at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of the month. Your cumulative total carries over even as epochs change, and you can view both the current epoch and the all-time total at once on the leaderboard.

#Sign-up bonus

Depending on your referral status, the following points are credited immediately at sign-up.

CaseReferral statusSign-up bonusFirst-trade bonus
ANo referrer + 0 referees00
BNo referrer + 1 or more referees500+5,000
CHas a referrer + 0 referees1,000+10,000
DHas a referrer + 1 or more referees1,000 (same as C)+10,000 (same as C)

Case D (both referred and having invited someone) receives the same amount as Case C. The 5,000P from Case B is not added on top.

#Retroactive grant (one time only)

If you were Case A at sign-up and someone later signs up with your referral code, you transition to Case B (or D). At that point, the following are granted automatically, one time.

  • Sign-up bonus 500P (if never received)
  • First-trade bonus 5,000P (if you had already traded)

Bonuses already received are not granted twice, and no additional 5,000P is added on top after reaching Case D.

#Trading points

Every time you trade, 1 point per $1 of trade value is earned (in whole units).

  • Daily cap: up to 1,000P per day (resets at UTC midnight)
  • Monthly cap: up to 30,000P per month (calendar month = epoch basis)
  • Volume above the cap is not converted to points and is forfeited (it doesn't carry over to the next day).
  • Trades below $1 also accumulate, and the moment the running total crosses $1, 1P is earned.
  • Trading points are combined with the sign-up/first-trade bonuses and reflected in your total on the leaderboard.

#Epochs

  • Length: 1 month (UTC, starting at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month)
  • Season: a fixed number of consecutive epochs, identified by sequential numbers
  • The season start date and epoch schedule will be announced when the program opens

Your score within each epoch is shown alongside your current rank on the leaderboard.
