Resolution

When a market closes, its outcome is finalized (this is resolution), and holders settle their outcomes for USDT.

#How an outcome is determined

For a closed market, the operations team finalizes the outcome. In a binary market, either YES or NO becomes the correct answer, and:

  • 1 winning share → 1 USDT
  • 1 losing share → 0 USDT

Categorical and scalar markets may settle proportionally depending on the outcome distribution. The exact settlement basis is shown in the Resolution section of the market page.

#Cancelled markets

A market that's CANCELLED because its outcome was voided refunds holders USDT proportionally. This is usually based on the last market price just before cancellation. For example, if a market where YES stopped at 0.65 is cancelled, 1 YES share is refunded as 0.65 USDT and 1 NO share as 0.35 USDT. If you held equal amounts of YES and NO, you effectively get your principal back.

#Redeeming

In a resolved market, press the Redeem button and USDT is deposited to your wallet. There's no expiration, so you can redeem later. For the detailed procedure, see Redeem.

#If resolution is delayed

  • The Resolution section on the market page — shows whether an outcome has been entered and what the source is.
  • Raising a dispute — if you believe there's a clear error, contact the operations team (currently a manual process).
